Rationale
My goal was to create a bold, eye-catching Instagram slideshow that exposes the hidden costs of fast fashion in a way that feels urgent, emotional, and accessible to young, socially conscious audiences. I leaned heavily on Adobe Express for its animation and iconography tools, using visuals like shopping bags, t-shirt outlines, and recycling symbols to make the information feel immediate and clear. The design’s tone was gritty and cinematic—anchored by the distressed ‘Cheddar Gothic Rough’ font and a consistent warm-to-cool color gradient that reflects an emotional arc from problem to solution. Animations were intentional: slow fades and subtle slides mirror the buildup of waste, while quick barcode pops on the first slide mimic the speed of fast fashion itself. To tie it all together, I kept each slide visually dynamic but clean, making sure the imagery and data didn’t compete with the message. The “Fashion by the Numbers” infographic condenses big stats into bold visuals with high contrast to leave a lasting impression, even on a quick scroll. This project taught me how effective purposeful motion and iconography can be in telling a powerful visual story.
